Intamac Home Manager solution embraced by BT Retails’ Intelligent Home Department

BT Retails’ Intelligent Home Department are using the expertise of a Northampton based technology company to power their Home Monitoring service. In a contract estimated to be worth £3.5M, BT has adopted a unique platform developed by Intamac Systems Ltd to deliver their newly repackaged ‘BT Home Monitor’ product.

BT Home Monitoring allows customers to remotely monitor their home, via the Internet or a mobile phone. The BT Home Monitor product comprises a professional quality DIY wireless security system, complete with an Internet based alarm monitoring service. The system provides wider protection to homeowners, who will receive alerts via text message, landline telephone and email, in the event of fire and power failure, as well as security alarm activations.

BT Retail share Intamac’s vision of the Internet accessed Intelligent Home, and have positioned this monitoring service at the heart of the BT ‘Home of Possibilities’ range, which also includes home computing and home networking products
