The Vision

Intamac believes that the developing networked, Connected Home and Business requires new thinking as well as new technology: thinking that reshapes business models to deliver affordable, added-value services, and technology that allows your consumers to monitor and control their home or business using the mobile phone or internet.

In an increasingly complex world Intamac believes that it is difficult for any one company to deliver the complete solution – there is no single ‘killer application’ that will itself create Connected Home market demand. For the Connected Home to become a reality in the mass market, the technology has to be simple to use, flexible and low-cost. The ability to network systems in the home and link to the outside world is just half of the problem. Manufacturers and service providers need to be able to bundle their various offerings using systems that can integrate with their own back office infrastructure.

The Internet is the tool that will allow this integration.

Intamac is inspired by the power of the internet, a low-cost universal medium which can provide and process information for customers, allowing them to create, manage and control a networked and connected home. However, to realise the full benefits of the Internet, the new world of the Connected Home will require companies to behave differently and forge new partnerships to develop and deliver their products and services to consumers. To support those companies keen to exploit this new market, there is a growing need for an Internet Platform through which the product and services can be integrated, and through which the vision of the Connected Home can be realised.

Intamac has developed such a platform.
