Intamac work in partnership with leading product manufacturers such as Jacarta, to provide an out-of-hours monitoring and messaging service designed to report out-of-threshold levels for a number of environmental sensors. These include water sensors, heat, humidity, carbon monoxide, temperature and even simple contact switches linked to the Jacarta control box, which sends data to the Intamac platform. If a sensor is activated, the Intamac platform is able to send alert messages directly to key members of staff, notifying them of exactly what has happened, where and when. Customers have instant access though their online account, and can change contact details for key staff at any time.
In the home, simple sensors linked to low-cost security alarm systems can provide much of this data, alerting you to flood, fire, carbon monoxide, and even temperature alerts. As governmental pressure grows to monitor the home environment, Intamac have already developed 2-way control via thier platform, allowing customers to access and control devices in their home. So for example, when the water sensor is activated, shut off the mains water supply to the house, or when a temperature limit is reached, automatically switch off the heating system. Through the end-user web interface, the customer is able to monitor energy usage in their home at any time, identify which devices consume the most, and send 2-way control signals to the devices in their homes.
