Intamac Systems receive two Ruban d'Honneur's at this years European Business Awards

Challenging the norm allows Intamac to be recognised amongst Europe's elite

10th December 2007 – Intamac Systems, the small Northampton based company specialising in new web monitoring technologies has received 2 coveted Ruban d’Honneurs awards at the European Business Awards.

Intamac’s CEO and founder, Kevin Meagher, has been nominated as the European Entrepreneur of the Year for his work to grow the business, and the company’s novel use of the Internet has also been recognised with the award of Business Innovation of the Year.

The European Business Awards were set up to recognise and reward excellence, best practice and innovation in companies across the European Union. Extensive research and high standards of judging quickly established the European Business Awards as the showcase of Europe’s skills, achievements and innovations in the field of business.

Intamac has developed new ways of monitoring and protecting people and their homes using the internet. Their services have been deployed in the UK, Europe, Australia and North America with the company moving to launch in India and Asia in 2008.  “We believe this technology will change the way people live.  It will allow the development of new, low cost plug and play devices that will be able to effectively monitor and protect the elderly in the home or to monitor and control devices to improve security or reduce the carbon footprint.  We believe this technology can solve real problems and making a difference,” explains Kevin Meagher.

“I’m delighted to receive these awards and its great to have our innovative nature of our business recognized.”

Intamac will now meet a panel of top European judges who will select an overall winner from the 10 companies who have won the Ruban d’Honneurs. The contest will be a real challenge as Intamac will be competing against major European companies like Deutsche Post and Daimler with the winners receiving their awards at a ceremony in Paris in March 2008.
