MD Presents to Innovation Conference at Stanford University, USA

Intamac open the Connected Home

Kevin Meagher, MD and CEO of Intamac Systems Ltd, is to deliver a CEO pitch to the Broadband community at the forthcoming Always-On Innovation Summit at Stanford University, USA.

Kevin will outline how Intamac’s innovative technology can deliver extra intelligence to manufacturers’ existing products. Companies can then lead their customers on a step-by-step journey to a fully connected home. Consumers will purchase semi-intelligent products today and remain loyal as more intelligence and services are delivered to them, as part of a long-term development strategy.

Intamac Systems Ltd is the UK’s market leader in Internet accessed monitoring and control services. The company has developed a revolutionary new server-based platform which supports intelligent devices and systems within a building. This award-winning communications infrastructure enables both new and existing systems and appliances to be networked using the Internet.

Intamac’s platform has been successfully adopted in three markets: monitoring security systems and alerting homeowners to break-ins; monitoring threats to IT equipment for businesses; and providing intelligent messaging services to UK local government Emergency Planners. IP camera monitoring solutions delivering images to mobile phones will be launched during 2004.

BT Retail share Intamac’s vision of the Internet accessed Intelligent Home, launching the Intamac-powered ‘BT Home Monitor’ during 2003. The BT Home Monitor provides a 24 hour security and reporting service for the average home, and is positioned at the heart of the BT ‘Home of Possibilities’ range. The BT Home Monitor uses a re-branded version of the Intamac platform to alert homeowners to a wide range of events in their home by text message, email and telephone.

Kevin Meagher, Managing Director at Intamac Systems said, “Our technology can deliver real benefits, and provide wider protection to people and their property. We pride ourselves on Innovation, and are adapting our core technology still further to deliver more functionality.”

As the home and business environment become more and more automated, Intamac are already positioned to provide customers with the ability to monitor, message and control their building’s systems and devices remotely from a website, a mobile phone, or any other compatible device.
